Privacy Policy

ElektroLibera LLC ("we", "the Company") recognizes the importance of protecting your personal information, and handles it responsibly and in accordance with the applicable data protection laws of every country in which we operate.

This privacy policy sets out the general standards we apply to personal information that we collect, use and share in relation to our clients, business partners, suppliers and other organizations with which we have, or expect to have, a business relationship. We may provide further or more detailed information about the collection or use of personal information on our website or in connection with a particular product or service.

Why and how we collect and use your personal information

We collect your personal information for a range of reasons, including those set out below.

Access to and use of our website and other online services

When you visit one of our websites or use an online service, we record the information needed for you to operate the site, together with the information we need in order to meet our security and legal obligations in connection with that use — for example passwords, IP addresses and browser settings. We also collect information about your activity during your visit, in order to personalize your experience (by remembering your settings, for instance) and to compile statistics that help us improve and further develop our website, products and services.

Responding to your requests for information, orders and support

When you contact us — online or offline — to request information, place an order for a product or service, ask for support, or take part in a forum or other social network, we collect the information we need in order to respond to your request, give you access to our products and services, provide support and stay in contact with you. This includes, for example, your name and contact details, together with details of your request, the terms of use you have agreed to, and the processing, delivery and invoicing of your order. We retain such information for administrative purposes, to protect our rights, and in connection with our relationship with you.

Marketing

Most of the information we collect about you comes from communicating with you directly. If you register for an event, we may collect information (online or offline) in preparation for that event or during it — such as which sessions you attend or your survey responses. We combine the personal information we collect and analyze it in aggregate for our business operations and marketing. You can choose to receive information about our products, services and subscriptions by email, telephone or post. When you visit our website or use our services, we may present you with personalized information. You can opt out of receiving personalized information at any time.

Where we refer to using your personal information in connection with a request, an order, a transaction or terms of use — or in preparation for any of these — or in order to provide a service you have asked for, we do so because it is necessary for the performance of our contract with you.

Where we refer to using your personal information in connection with improving, marketing or developing our products and services, for safety and security reasons, or to meet regulatory requirements other than those arising from our contract with you or your request, we do so to protect the legitimate interests of the Company or of a third party, or with your consent. Where we collect and use personal information subject to EU privacy law, this may affect your rights.

Sharing personal information

We maintain global policies, standards and procedures so that we can deliver business processes, systems and services across borders while protecting personal information consistently. In accordance with this privacy policy, we may share your information with our subsidiaries worldwide and transfer it to the countries in which we operate.

We may engage suppliers in various countries to collect, use, analyze or otherwise process personal information on our behalf.

With your consent, we may share your personal information with partners whose assistance we need in order to provide products or services to you or to the company you work for, or to fulfill a request we have received.

We may be required to disclose personal information to government authorities in accordance with judicial proceedings, a court order or other legal process. We may also use or share your information where we have reasonable grounds to believe it is necessary to protect the rights or property of the Company, our affiliates, our business partners, our suppliers, our clients or others.

Security and accuracy of information

We protect your personal information and work to keep it accurate. We apply appropriate physical, administrative and technical safeguards to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, use and disclosure, and we require our suppliers to protect such information in the same way.

Retention period

We do not retain your personal information for longer than is necessary to fulfill the purposes of processing. Those purposes include meeting our legal and regulatory obligations (such as audit, accounting and statutory retention periods), security purposes, the resolution of disputes, and the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims in the countries in which we operate.

Your rights

You may request access to your personal information, or ask us to update or correct it. You may also object to direct marketing.

You may have additional rights under the local law that applies to the processing. For example, if the processing of your personal information is subject to the EU General Data Protection Regulation and is carried out on the basis of legitimate interests, you have the right to object to that processing on grounds relating to your particular situation. Under the GDPR you may also, among other things, request the erasure or restriction of your personal information.

Your right to lodge a complaint

If you consider that our processing of your personal information does not comply with the applicable data protection law, you may lodge a complaint.

Changes to this privacy policy

This privacy policy and our other privacy statements may be updated from time to time. When we change this policy, we will add a new date to the page on which it appears.
